Give it a go in October!

During October, we'd like to invite our community to come on down to the library and try something new.  Libraries are places that help facilitate lifelong learning, and you're never too old to learn!

Harakeke weaving
Learn some basic harakeke (flax) weaving with Angel from Artearoa and Lisa from Natures Fold.  Search our catalogue for 'raranga' to find lots of excellent resources to learn at home.

Paper crafts

Learn how to make a Brag book in our paper crafting sessions.  Brag books are pocket-sized scrapbooks which bring together small photos, mementos and notes.  Perfect for gifts coming up to Christmas. Flower arranging

Join Beau for a brief introduction to arranging flowers using items you have on hand at home.

Introduction to practical jokes UPDATE 16/10/2023 These events have now been cancelled.

Come along and find about how to do practical jokes. Only people with a sense of humour should attend! This session is suitable for children aged 13+. For more inspiration of fun practical jokes, check out one of these titles.
